How many words is a picture worth?

Frequently we get sales-humans in our store tryin’ to talk the boss into handling their brand of Zero turn mowers… the boss tells them we sell Ventrac and Steiner 4×4 tractors, and although their product may mow grass it will never handle the areas we thrive in… often these humans challenge Boss-man… what are they thinking? Ventrac and Steiner both have such low ground pressure that they nearly float! The boss sez “ok, get your machine and follow me — I will stay on flat ground so you have a chance. You get back to the shop under your own power, and I sign the contract and place an order…”

How many words is it you humans say a picture is worth?

All these new winter toys!

I bet this thing will scoop some poop, it’d be hell on cats though…

On a serious note, snow blowers can be dangerous — triple-check that all small (and large) pets are at a safe distance.

Be careful when using a snow thrower (we love all kinds of pets here at A2A). This thing would eat a JRT without a hiccup & keep right on going.

Now I know my JRTs; and they would attack this spinning auger in a heartbeat… just because it’s there and movin’! So please keep us pets in mind this winter while your fighting snow… OH!  Sorry… JRT = Jack Russell Terrier… never met one that was smaller then me!  LOL !

Show me the money!

I look at other web sites and advertisements (which is tough to do with my paws) and one thing I notice is NO PRICE advertised… and the rare times there is, the advertised price its FULL LIST (I’m not payin’ that so why try and hook me).

My human here at A2A tries his best to always advertise a “Real Sale Price” even when threatened by the manufacturers to not do so… we laugh at the bait-and-switch ads! When we shop for something we need to know the price first… don’t matter how good it is, if we can’t afford it. This saves the customers’ time, and we consider it a respectful and honest way of doing business.

Super-duper pooper-scooper?

A slip scoop, not a loader, is what most humans really need!

This is big. I see about ten people a week come in asking my human for a loader tractor or a loader attachment for their machine… He asks them if they really need lift “height”; or just simply need to dig, move, transport and grade material or snow?

Now I know my way around the yard pretty darn good and I’ve buried my share of bones, but I’m really not that much different then you humans when it comes to yard work and gardening; you plant it, I pee on it… we’re a team! We both need the proper tools to get the job done. Here at A2A we feel most humans are really looking for a “wheelbarrow that will dig, fill itself, push itself and dump itself!” So unless you’re loading a dump truck or doin’ something that requires lots of height, a Hydraulic Slip Scoop is the right tool for the job!

If you’re thinkin’ about getting a loader, please take a closer look at a Ventrac or a Steiner with a “slip scoop” – it’s a bucket that only lifts high enough to dump itself… it will dig better then loaders its size, and it’s much easier to hook up and to use. These tractors with slip scoops are much, much more stable then conventional “loaders and loader tractors”, plus, they cost a fraction of a loader attachment and they do everything better, except lift high. My human sez a conventional loader on a compact tractor is like the tail waggin’ the dog… ouch!

Filters 101

the counter human said these glasses will work fine !

Noticing a lot of customers using the wrong filter(s) lately; (air, oil, and hydraulic): not sure why, but the economy must have a part in this!

Here are a few facts about filters… first, size matters! Most air filters have to match exactly to seal properly. And I bet you didn’t know that a dirty air filter traps more dirt then a new, clean one! Indeed, if you are over-changing your air filters, or worse yet, blowing them out to clean them, then you are taking many hours of engine life away! A new paper air filter is about 90-92% efficient at trapping dirt. A dirty air filter is 97+%, and a filter you just blew out with compressed air and a blow gun is approx. 75% or less.

DO NOT over-maintain your air filter! Only change it when performance is hurt by it! As long as your engine performance is fine, then leave that dirty air filter in and run it… it’s stopping more dirt then a new one will!

Oil and hydraulic filters… thousands of dollars are spent here by customers that needed to change their filter on time! They don’t have the right filter, and the hour meter just clicked off another maintenance interval so they stop everything & go to their auto parts store to ask the counter expert (LMAO) if they have a cross-reference… 99% of the time all that matches is the threads… they have no idea about micron ratings or the type of media & valving of their filters (but hell, it screwed on, so it must be fine, right?) Wrong! And about $3,400 later when your tractor drives again, you may start to understand! And yes, the auto parts stores insurance will compensate most of the time… but that is only after you hire me as your expert when you take them to court!

You got hills?

Okay, we always have an open mind ‘round here, and we constantly explore new brands to see if there is anything out there that would keep up with a Steiner or Ventrac on hills! Now, the talk ‘round the county is that my human has just never been beat or equaled on a hill demonstration! That’s in the last 30 years! Well… I’m top dog ‘round here, not him and I believe I came up with a machine that is going to take him to school!

I’m told this thing will out-climb any Steiner or Ventrac with ease, it’s great in tall grass, and debris seems to have no effect on it at all!

Okay any you humans know how to start this thing?…  What did I get myself into? This may leave a mark! Ehhh at least it has a horn!  Oh boy!

Warden’s Challenge

The biggest challenge for me ‘round here is trying’ to figure out which machine my human is going to drive next! He jumps from machine to machine all day… testing… troubleshooting… demonstrating… no wonder customers travel such a great distance to deal with us… my human lives his work like I live him!
